Justin Timberlake Celebrates 31st Birthday With Lavish Ski Vacation (omg!)

Who needs a tropical getaway when there's plenty of packed powder up north?

To celebrate his recent birthday, newly engaged Justin Timberlake headed to Fernie, British Columbia Canada to hit the slopes for a few days of alpine skiing.

Though he turned 31 on January 31, Timberlake took his getaway over Super Bowl weekend, reports the Calgary Herald.

Bunking at a posh resort featuring trails accessible only by snowmobile, Timberlake stopped into Commit Snow & Skate before hitting the slopes.

"One of our employees had quite the interesting experience," the shop's owner Adam Laurin told the Herald. "It was one of those 'no way, no way, that's not him' moments."

A ski shop employee said Timberlake went "cat skiing," where he hit the slopes rather privately. "They take you up into different areas and drop you off, no chairlift, no tracks, and you get to make clean lines," said the employee.

His birthday ski weekend came less than two months after he proposed to longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel while skiing in the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming in December.
