Portland technology start-up is looking for part-time or full-time individual to demo new marketing technology for restaurants with the goal to have them sign up for our service. This technology is proven and ready to deploy to hundreds/thousands of restaurants.
This technology empowers restaurants to fill empty tables with customized offers only on the nights and times they desire. They control the design of the offer and how many tables they want to fill.
Response from the few restaurants that have had an opportunity to preview this technology has been outstanding. The technology and program is built for their success which is what they want. This position is needed to scale the number of restaurants in the Portland market and future cities that will use this powerful tool.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cultivate relationships with new and existing restaurant partners in Portland, OR
2. Convert leads into customers via telephone and in-person conversations?& presentations
3. Follow operating process to launch and manage accounts.
4. Provide training to restaurant management as required.
5. Build a database of diners through trade shows and other local consumer driven events.
6. Work on social media sites in support of corporate national strategy.
7. Visible in supporting local foodie community events.
8. Create additional distribution channel(s) by establishing affiliate relationships with other food related and travel websites and social media sites.
9. Oversee inventory levels of restaurants, providing support and advice.
We work as a team to provide the best marketing tool to the restaurant industry. Therefore, team member contributions should not be limited to assigned responsibilities and we expect employees will contribute however and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
? Bachelor?s Degree from a four-year college or university in Business or related field and 3 ? 5 years relevant experience.
? Restaurant industry experience and relationships.
? Experience in local B2B sales
? Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Technical Sales
? Ability to learn new web-based technologies
? Experienced user of Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites
? Knowledge of basic finance/budgeting
? Skill in negotiating and closing sales
? Ability to use systems for organizing and managing information
? Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once
? Ability to use current office software (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.)
? Ability to craft professional business proposals, presentations, and correspondence
? Ability to positively react to and resolve problems
? Ability to adapt to changing events
Interpersonal
? Ability to self-manage to achieve or exceed desired results
? Highly organized professional who is a self-starter and loves to sell
? Ability to professionally interact with restaurant owners and instill confidence
? Strong communication skills ? providing the right information at the right time to the right audience in the right manner
This start-up company is founded and managed by a team of experienced and successful entrepreneurs who have already built companies to national scale.
This position is part-time but can easily shift to full-time for the right person. Compensation includes base salary plus commission for signing up new restaurants and commission based on revenue generated from each account. In addition, bonus available based on exceeding Sales Objectives for number of restaurants signed up each quarter.
